The Herbs:
I prescribe ‘raw herbs’. These are herbs that have not been processed – they are mainly the dried leaves, roots and other parts of plants. The herbs are supplied from reputable suppliers approved by the RCHM (Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine) and the IRCMH (The Irish Register of Chinese Medical Herbalism).
I do not prescribe or use any rare or endangered species.
The herbal medicine prescribed for you is specifically for your condition at the time of consultation. Should your condition change, contact me and we can discuss these changes, as your medicine may need to be modified or reformulated. Your treatment progress should be reviewed at least once every four weeks.
Preparation of the herbs:
I personally make and prepare all the creams, oils and washes to ensure the purity of the formulation. I do not use or prescribe steroid creams.
Possible side effects:
Side effects rarely happen as a result of taking Chinese Herbal Medicine. However If you develop a rash, itch headache, nausea or a stomach upset while taking a formula, stop using it immediately and contact me at 086 1593170.
Are Herbs safe?
Chinese herbs are very safe when prescribed correctly by a properly trained practitioner. Over the centuries doctors have compiled detailed information about the herbs and placed great emphasis on the protection of the patient.
Adverse reactions can occur with any form of medicine, in the case of Chinese herbal medicine these are rare.
